The world we are living in is not bordless, spaceless nor placeless like it is usually discussed in relation to the global flow. More exactly, we inhabit complex territories that are determined simultaneously by both flow and closure, that define how space is written and how it can be rewritten. Spatiality and territory still play a crucial role in our lives and in the creation of the territorial imaginary and ‘imagi-nation’. It is inscribed both in the propaganda of transcultural, transurban, deterritorialized and transnational public space as well as it determines a raise of the importance of the local, national security, national identity, cultural differences and (re)territorialisation. It creates complex global > local> glocal territories and territorial imaginaries.
These complex territories are inscribing numerous complex situations. Flow-closure, heterogeneisation–homogenization, cultural difference - cultural diversity, etc They are all complex ideas that can be read both positively and negatively depending on the context in which they are used.

This interactive DVD-Rom enables us a creation of postcards by the selection (combination) of elements from its database. The database is composed of two kinds of element: images of ”theme spaces” and ”type bodies”.

Still images of ”theme spaces” are coming from the mass media from all around the world. These mediated images are influencing our sensibility for the specificity of the place. On the other hand, the database contains images of ‘type bodies’ wearing traditional and national costumes. These costumes (still present in the post-cards) have been represented as things that have stayed unchanged, constant, pure and durable during the part /History. They were/are important and necessary for the production of national culture, for assuring and proving its existence and presence. Images of these places and bodies are left to the public to create and print post-cards themselves. Possible combinations and interpretations are not to be taken for granted. They are constructed in a specific context.

The question arising is how are the subject being localized (culturally) and how do we define our own position in relation with space, memory and history through a space or a historical moment being re-visited in the media?

Svijet u kojem živimo nije lišen ni granica, ni prostornosti, niti specifičnosti lokaliteta na što se često aludira u relaciji sa globalnim kretanjima i proticanjima. Tačnije, naseljavamo kompleksne teritorije koje su istovremeno određene kako protokom i otvaranjem, tako i zatvaranjem, i koji određuju način na koji je prostor opisan i upisan  i način na koji njegova predstava može biti redefinisana. Prostornost i teritorija još uvijek imaju centralnu ulogu u našim životima i u kreaciji teritorijalne imaginacije i «imagi-nation» (imagi-naciji). One su upisane i u propagandu transkulturalnog, transurbanog, deteritorijaliziranog i transnacionalnog javnog prostora, isto kao što određuju i rast značaja «lokalnog », nacionalne sigurnosti, nacionalnog identiteta, kulturoloških razlika i (re)teritorijalizacije. One kreiraju kompleksne globalne > lokalne > glokalne teritorije i teritorijalne imaginacije. Ove kompleksne teritorije donose brojne kompleksne situacije. Protok-zatvaranje, heterogeneizaciju-homogeneizaciju, kulturalnu različitost-kulturalnu raznolikost, itd. To su sve kompleksne ideje koje mogu biti «isčitane » kako kao pozitivne tako i kao negativne, u zavisnosti od konteksta u kojem su korištene

Ovaj interaktivni DVD-Rom omogučava nam kreiranje razglednica biranjem (kombiniranjem) elemenata iz njegove baze podataka. Nju čine dvije vrste elementa: slike tematiziranih prostora (theme-places) i tipiziranih tijela (type-bodies).

Still frame-ovi tematskih prostora potječu iz mas-medija širom svijeta. Ove slike utječu na naš osjećaj posebnosti mjesta i prostora. S druge strane, baza podataka sadrži i slike “tipiziranih tijela”, koja nose tradicionalnu i nacionalnu odjeću. Ovi kostimi (još uvijek prisutni na razglednicama) predstavljeni su kao stvari koje su ostale nepromijenjene, “čiste” i trajne, kroz prošlost /historiju. Oni su bili /i jesu važni i neophodni za stvaranje nacionalne kulture, da osiguraju i dokažu njeno postojanje. Slike ovih mjesta i tijela su ostavljeni publici da od njih sama kreira razglednice. Moguće kombinacije i interpretacije se ne prihvataju kao gotove činjenice. One su konstruirane u posebnom kontekstu.

Pitanje koje se javlja je kako se osobe lokaliziraju (kulturno) i kako definiramo našu vlastitu poziciju u odnosu na vrijeme, pamćenje i historijski momenat koji je ponovo posjećen u medijima?

On habite des territoires complexes qui sont déterminés simultanément par la fluidité et la clôture. La spatialité et le territoire ont des rôles centraux dans nos vies et dans la création de l’imaginaire territorial et de l’«imagi-nation». L’imaginaire territorial est inscrit aussi bien à travers la propagande de l’espace public transnational, de la transculturalité, de déterritorialisation, que par la clôture, des idées de local, de sécurité et d’identité nationale, de différences culturelles et (re)territorialisation. Elle crée un territoire global > local > glocal et des imaginaires territoriaux complexes.
Ces territoires complexes ont crée des situations complexes. Fluidité-clôturem hétérogénéisation - homogénéisation, différences culturelles et diversité culturelle, …Ce sont toutes des idées complexes qui peuvent être lu positivement ou négativement – cela dépend du contexte dans laquelle elles sont utilisées.
Ce projet permet la création de cartes postales par la sélection des éléments de la base de donnée. Cette base de donnée est composée de deux types d’éléments: des images ”d’espaces thématiques” et des “corps typiques”. Les images fixes d’espaces thématiques viennent de médias de masse du monde entier. Ces images médiatisées influencent notre sensibilité pour la spécificité du lieu. De l’autre côté, la base de donnée contient des images de “corps typiques” habillés dans des costumes traditionnels et nationaux. Ces costumes (encore présents dans les cartes-postales) sont pris comme quelque chose qui est resté invariable, constant, pure et durable pendant le temps passé / Histoire. C’est ce qui est important et nécessaire pour la production de la culture-nationale, pour assurer, prouver son existence et sa présence. Les images de ces lieux et corps sont proposés aux spectateurs afin qu’il crée et imprime sa propre carte postale.

La question qui se pose est comment les sujets sont-ils localisés culturellement et comment on se positionne en relation avec l’espace, la mémoire et l’histoire à travers l’espace ou avec le moment historique qui est re-visité dans le média?
