«MOUNTAINS» is a collective exhibition. It’s primarily collective because it creates a bond between several people and several places. The same way a mountain is never isolated, but belongs to a mountain chain, this exhibition is a part of exchange project between two contemporary art centres placed in cities surrounded by mountains: art centre OUI (Grenoble, France) and Duplex / 10m2 gallery (Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina).
This exhibition is therefore, a follow up of Clôde Coulpier’s monography, ONLY TOUT, which took place in Duplex in June of 2009, and precedes a third exhibition, a project by Pierre Courtin, director of Duplex / 10m2 gallery, within the art centre OUI in Grenoble. This third part is due for the beginning of 2011.
«MOUNTAINS» is also collective because it’s not the product of only one curator, but also a project of a group set up for this particular occasion. This exhibition comes from a collective intelligence, collaboration and interaction, between enthousiasts, artists, curators, critiques and art historians.
Finally, the exhibition is collective because it regroups several artists. The artists exposing belong to a young contemporary art scene, coming from this mountain region, which is a Grenoble region. They are either born, come from, study or live there. Everyone was simply invited to participate at the exhibition. And just as one doesn’t invite only friends to a party, artists present here have a personal and artistic tie with one another. Once they had accepted the invitation, every artist had a liberty of choosing one or more works to speak about their art. The result is an exhibition of heterogeneous forms – videos, installations, paintings, and tee shirts – where personal affinities create homogeneity.
«MOUNTAINS» therefore doesn’t give a detailed panorama of this young generation of Rhône-Alpes’ artists, but a certain point of view on the work of some of them. It’s not about the demonstration or the representation; it’s simply about presenting far away from the Grenoble Alps, the idea of what can be done today.

«PLANINE » je kolektivna izložba. Kolektivna je jer predstavlja vezu više ljudi i više mjesta. Isto kao što nijedna planina nije nikada izolirana, već pripada nekom lancu, ova izložba je dio projekta razmjene umjetnika dvaju suvremenih centara umjetnosti smještenih u dva grada okružena planinama : centar za umjetnost OUI (Grenoble, France) i galerija Duplex / 10m2 (Sarajevo, Bosna i Hercegovina).
Ova izložba je nastavak monografije Clôde-a Coulpie-a, ONLY TOUT, koja je predstavljena u Duplexu u junu 2009. god; a prethodi trećoj izložbi, koja je projekt Pierre-a Courtin-a, direktora galerije Duplex / 10m2, u centru za umjetnost OUI u Grenoblu. Ovaj treći uradak je predviđen za početak 2011. godine.
« PLANINE » je takođe kolektivni rad jer nije djelo samo jednog kustosa, nego projekt cijele grupe nastao za ovu priliku. Izložba je proizvod kolektivne inteligencije i suradnje i interakcije entuzijasta umjetnika, kustosa, kritičara i historičara umjetnosti.
Naposljetku, izložba je kolektivna jer okuplja nekoliko umjetnika. Umjetnici koji izlažu pripadaju mladoj suvremenoj umjetničkoj sceni koja je proizašla iz ovog planinskog područja kakvo je Grenobl, jer su umjetnici tu rođeni, tu su studirali ili tu žive. Svi su jednostavno bili pozvani da učestvuju na izložbi. I kao što se na zabavu ne pozivaju samo prijatelji, tako i umjetnici koji su ovdje predstavljeni imaju različite, međusobne, lične ili umjetničke veze. Nakon prihvaćene pozivnice, svaki umjetnik je imao slobodu da odabere jedno il više djela koje bi govorilo o njegovom radu. Otud proizilazi izložba heterogenih formi – videa, instalacije, slike, majice – ali u kojoj lični afiniteti stvaraju homogenost.
« PLANINE » stoga ne nudi iscrpnu sliku ove mlade generacije umjetnika s područja Rona-Alpe nego poseban pogled na rad nekih od njih. Ovdje se ne radi o prikazu ili predstavljanju njihovog rada nego o uvidu, van okvira grenoblskih Alpi, u ono što se danas može uraditi.

DES MONTAGNES est une exposition collective.
Collective d'abord car elle fait le lien entre plusieurs personnes, plusieurs lieux. De même qu'une montagne n'est jamais isolée mais appartient à une chaîne, cette exposition fait partie d'un projet d'échange artistique entre deux centres d'art contemporain situés dans deux villes entourées de montagnes : le centre d'art OUI (Grenoble, France) et la galerie Duplex / 10m2 (Sarajevo, Bosnie-Herzégovine).
Cette exposition fait donc suite à une monographie de Clôde Coulpier, ONLY TOUT, qui a eu lieu au Duplex en juin 2009, et précède une troisième exposition, projet de Pierre Courtin, directeur de la galerie Duplex / 10m2, au centre d'art OUI à Grenoble. Ce troisième volet est prévu pour début 2011.
DES MONTAGNES est collective aussi car elle n'est pas le fait d'un seul curateur, mais le projet d'un groupe formé pour l'occasion. L'exposition vient d'une intelligence collective, de la collaboration et de l'interaction, temporaires et enthousiastes, entre des artistes, des curateurs, des critiques et des historiens de l'art.
Enfin, l'exposition est collective car elle regroupe plusieurs artistes. Les artistes exposés appartiennent à la jeune scène artistique contemporaine issue de cette région montagneuse qu'est la région grenobloise, parce qu'ils y sont nés, parce qu'ils y ont étudié ou parce qu'ils y habitent. Chacun a simplement été invité à participer à l'exposition, et comme on n'invite que des amis à une fête, les artistes présentés ici ont des liens les uns avec les autres, personnels ou artistiques. L'invitation acceptée, chaque artiste a été libre de choisir une ou plusieurs œuvres pour parler de son travail. En ressort une exposition hétéroclite par les formes – vidéos, installations, peintures, tee-shirts – mais dans laquelle les affinités personnelles créent l'homogénéité.
DES MONTAGNES n'offre donc pas un panorama exhaustif de cette jeune génération d'artistes rhône-alpins mais un certain point de vue sur le travail de quelques uns. Il ne s'agit pas d'être dans la démonstration ou la représentation mais uniquement de donner à voir, pendant un temps, loin des Alpes grenobloises, ce qui peut se faire aujourd'hui.
